The Uchiwa lamp was designed by Ingo Maurer, in Germany, 1973. From the start, Maurer's interest in paper for lampshades was linked with his interest in Japan. The lamp gives an amazing warm light when lit. It's made from bamboo with a rice paper shade, which is very fragile. This lamp was handmade and is one of the most iconic designs by Ingo Maurer.
